"Why the name of Sharon?
It's because she's loves sharing
Why the last name of Moore?
Because she's loves sharing just a little more."
Feel free to read the following two stories I wrote for Sharon, when she was little, or scroll down "Moore" to see Sharon's recent posts and wedding pictures.
You can also feel free to check out my other stories I have written for my other kids on their pages located on the top tabs of this blog page.
Sharon Moore
written by me, Carol Louise
So why the name of Sharon
Well it is because she loves a sharing
But why the last name of Moore?
Because she loves sharing just a little more
But why did she like to share?
Could it be to show others she did care?
Take for example she had a treat
And saw someone else had nothing to eat
She would then offer what she had
And tell herself that she was glad
To have shared
Showing she cared
For she was Sharon
Who loved a sharing
Just a little more
Because her name was Sharon Moore
But, did you know there was a time
That Sharon would not share
She would scream and yell the words, “that’s mine”
And words of, “that’s not fair”
Then she would roll on the ground
And throw a big fit
Making all kinds of sound
And then she would try and hit
Anyone who dared to take away
What was hers by right to play
Then one day
A child came to play
And asked Sharon if
she would share
Well, she screamed and yelled “no, that’s mine!”
And he said “you’re not being very fair”
“I don’t think you are being kind”
Next thing you know, she was on the ground
Throwing another huge fit
Making all kinds of sound
And then she tried to hit
That sweet child who wanted to play
On that, “I don’t want to share” day
So do you think Sharon was being bad?
And made that child feel very sad?
Then from out of the blue
Sharon felt quite bad
Because she saw the child was sad
This is when she decided
She wanted to share
And wanted to show others
That she did care
No more would she throw a fit
And no more would she try and hit
So she told the child
“I’m sorry” on that day
And would you like to come and play
Why the name of Sharon Moore?
And how ever since that day
She loves to share a little more
With all that she could see
For that is what makes her happy
Oh to be such a dear sweet child
So innocent, humble, meek, and mild
Now let us follow and learn to share
Showing others just how much we care
Thanks to a girl named Sharon Moore
Who loves to share just a little more
Sharon Moore's Valentine

Sharon Moore's Valentine
written by me, Carol Louise
Now do you remember Sharon Moore?
Who loves a sharing
Just a little more?
Well, this following story
Is about Sharon Moore
And how she learned to define,
The true meaning of the word
Valentine
Now in this story her mother did
say
It is time to learn about
Valentine’s Day
And how it is one day out of the
year
To be able to express our love
With friends and family we hold
dear
And anyone else that we can think
of
Sharon replied, Hey mom, I know what.
Let us send Valentines to cheer
people up.
How about those military guys
across the sea
Serving our country for you and for
me?
I sure wish that they could come
home
And that on Valentine’s Day no one
is alone
Boy mom this sure is fun
We could send Valentines to
everyone
With lots of kisses and hugs
You know X’s and O’s I think
And lots and lots of candy
In red, purple, and pink
Mom, what about
our neighbors too
For all the hard
work I see them do
They have always
been good to us
Oh and the lady
who drives our school bus
I sure do think
she is neat
Because once in
while she gives me a treat
And I can’t
forget my sisters and brother
Then there is
dad, and of course you, mother
Aunts and uncles
and their kids too
And distant cousins
from Timbuktu
But there is one
more I would like to give
And he made it
possible for us to live
Here on this
beautiful earth
From heaven to
our natural birth
And I would make
him one BIG valentine
That says “you
will always be mine"
And thanks for
helping me to share
When I show
others I do care
I love you
forever and ever
And pray that I
never
Forget the things You have done
Forget the things You have done
For You are the One
Who showed me wrong from right
Who showed me wrong from right
And helps me
when I am scared at night
“Okay mom, I
will go set it outside the door
And it will say:
To Jesus
From Sharon Moore
Then I hope the wind will swoop by
To Jesus
From Sharon Moore
Then I hope the wind will swoop by
And blow it
straight to heaven in the sky”
Oh to be blessed with a child so
whole
With such a dear sweet soul
A child named Sharon Moore
Who loves to share, just a little
more
And how she learned to define
The true meaning of Valentine
That when we share our love
It really does come from up above
(Note from author: me, Carol Louise. When Sharon was little, she was thinking of Valentine's that she could send people and she really wanted to send one to Jesus. So, Sharon really did make a Valentine for Jesus, and she really did set it outside the door. Sharon had even misspelled the word from on it and she actually wrote "fruom". When I found her Valentine for Jesus on the ground outside our front door, I asked her why she had put it there. Sharon told me that she thought the wind would blow it to heaven and give her special Valentine to Jesus. When I was researching another story to write for Sharon, I came across my journal entry about Sharon doing this, and that is where I got the idea for this story. Sharon really did make a Valentine for Jesus, and she really thought the wind would blow it to heaven. That in itself makes this story even "Moore" special.)

April 2015
Here is the official wedding invitation of Sharon and Ken.
They are registered at Walmart, Target, and Bed, Bath & Beyond
Talented big sister Shelly Moore took some really cute pictures of Sharon and Ken. They make such an adorable couple and, they are so compatible. What is cool is that they both are already practicing saying prayers and reading scriptures together. I am so proud of them for starting the habit of having God in their marriage, right from the start. They will find that by including God by obeying and living his commandments, that they will have a happier marriage with less contention and more love.
I love this picture of Ken kissing my sweet Sharon because she looks so happy and in love.
Reminds me of the movie "Titanic". Just saying...
I do believe Ken's going to help Sharon fly to her full potential.
And may they live Happily Ever After for all of Eternity.
March 2015
The wedding date is officially set for May 8th at the Logan, Utah Temple because the Boise Temple will be closed from May 8th to the 18th. They couldn't get married May 2nd because that's finals week at Ken's college in Utah. The wedding reception will be held at the Ontario, Oregon Stake Center on Saturday May 9th from 6 to 9 pm.

Amanda won tickets to Comic Con again..... Kelsey Hylton, Kylee Hylton, Ken Frahm, Sharon Moore, Shelly Moore!!
This one is my favorite and Ken is such a good sport. I love him already and can't wait for their wedding because they make such a cute couple, ideal match, great companions, and best friends.
Sharon is just a good sport too.
Sharon said she just loved this girl's face. haha!

December 2014
Ken and Sharon finally get engaged and it is officially official.
Cyndi's humor gave Ken and Sharon this.
It's official. My Sharon Moore is engaged. They will be getting married in the beginning of May in the Boise Temple, so Sarah Moore can attend the wedding when she gets off her mission on April 23rd. I'm so excited and happy for Sharon.
Okay, no PDA's please. Especially my daughter.
What? You don't know what a PDA is. The first time I found out was when I was giving a PDA to my husband, when I was teaching music at Westside Elementary.
PDA means Public Display of Affection.
Okay, it's really okay, you know, as long as you keep your clothes on and keep it G rated. Just saying...

Change of plans, Sharon will be going to BYU Idaho instead. Life happens, plans change, and our direction in life doesn't always work out as we had planned. Sharon has been diligently studying the gospel principles in her spare time. I am very proud of her progression and direction in life. Sharon will serve a mission by serving those around her and continually strengthening her testimony. I believe she can be and do anything. I also believe that she will be a great influence on those around her with her testimony in the gospel and talent with music.

Sharon received her mission call today and it is only an hour and a half away from where Sarah is in San Fernando, California. Sharon will be serving her mission in Redlands, California. When Sarah found out, she couldn't believe it because she had actually been praying that Sharon would get called somewhere close. I will post the video of Sharon opening her mission call tonight.

Sharon and Sarah are posing before the Fruitland Church before Sarah left on her mission and while Sharon anxiously waits for her call, now that all her papers are in.
I want to go on a mission "THIS MUCH and even MOORE"!
This is me and my Sharing Sharon
And this is what happens if she isn't sharing. Just kidding, Sharon.
I've got to admit that all my kids are great sports, like Sharon is being in this picture.
Showing off her Christmas PJ's
Participated in the Miss Western Idaho Pangeant
Okay, Sharon thought she'd save some gas because we were low and so she
went to coast to the gas station. However, when she went to put it in
neutral, she accidentally shifted it to park, while driving 55 mph. Our
favorite family yellow suburban froze up, skidded and rolled with her in
it. She was blessed that no one was with her and that she came out
without any injuries.
Sharon was always getting awards in school because she was are little perfectionist.
Eventually we had to tell her that she had to play at least one recess because all she wanted to do was walk for straws on every recess to earn awards for walking the most. Love you Sharon.
I just have to say that I made the poncho.
Our little cowgirl
Music
Sharon and Sarah were always singing around the house, since the very beginning.
With my music background as a music major, flautist, and singer, I used that knowledge to encourage the girls to share their love of music with others. So, I started taking the girls to nursing homes, senior centers, and any other local events I could find. This gave the girls the goals and excitement to practice.
Below they are singing for a bunch of Senior Citizens at a special function they were having. I only wish I had an actual recording that had sound back then.
One of Sharon's solos back then was, "I'm Here for the Party" by Gretchen Wilson. However, I
would explain to the audience that when she said beer, she really meant
drinking root beer.
I entered the girls in an actual contest for the first time and they one first place. It was soooooo AWESOME!
The girls sang "Only Hope" and "Fly Away".
Christmas
And "all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth", just kidding Sharon.
Halloween
I need to find the rest of the pictures showing the costumes I made. There are some of Sharon as Dorothy, Raggedy Anne, Little Bo Peep, and a clown. I'll post them as soon as I find them.
I became really good at designing and sewing clothes for the kids, like this cute dress.
I didn't use store bought patterns. I would look at pictures and get ideas.
I would also take a store bought clothes item, turn it inside out and figure out how how it was sewed.
This dress below had a sash waist and you could tie it in the back.
Since I'm talking about clothes I sewed for my kids. I had to show this family picture.
I made t-shirt dresses that were designed differently for each girl. I added a little elastic to the end of the sleeves to give a little ruffle. Sharon's dress I made look like a jumper dress. Sarah's had a bow on the front.
Shelly had fabric covered buttons going down the front. And, Stacey's had a scarf on the shoulders that tied in the middle. I wish I took individual pictures of each girl wearing my creations.
Remember, this picture was taken back when we didn't have cellphones and digital cameras.
Sharon's adorable pig tails and big cheesy grin.
Sharon's first car. She was a good driver back then. Just kidding, Sharon.
Sharon standing at the end of our lane getting ready to meet the bus to go to preschool.
Our little "DARE" kid. This photo was taken at "Silverwood Theme Park" by Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
We
were attending a "DARE" conference with my husband, who was a "DARE"
officer for Payette County Idaho, back when Payette County cared that
they had the "DARE" program in their County.
It was so sad to see such a good program go.This picture was taken with the guest speaker at one of the many "DARE" graduations that my husband did for almost 18 years of his life. I made the cute matching skirts.
