Sabrina

Sabrina is the baby and last child born into our Moore family. We saved the best for last, you know.

As of

May 2016

Just because God shuts a door

Doesn't mean He wants us to stop moving

It just means he wants us to find another way around.

Sabrina Moore posted this today on Facebook. I just had to pass it along because of how creative and inspirational it is. Her sister Sarah actually is the one that took the picture and the door is the one we used as a prop decoration for when Sharon got married last May of 2015.

January 5th, 2016

Sabrina Moore is officially 16 years old. Oh no! My baby is now old enough to date. Double that: Oh no! Oh no! I love you MOORE than anything you can say, Sabrina Moore.

Feel free to read the following two stories I wrote for Sabrina, when she was little, or scroll down "Moore" to see Sabrina's most recent posts.
You can also feel free to check out my other stories I have written for my other kids on their pages located on the top tabs of this blog page.

Dancing Sabrina
written by me, Carol Louise

Why little Sabrina she loved to dance,
and it would seem she had ants in her pants.
Oh, but how could that be,
that sounds so silly to me
to have ants in your pants,
to make you dance.

So maybe she went out to play
and sat in a big pile of dirt,
not knowing it was full of ants
that would get in her pants
to make her dance.
Boy, I think that would hurt
to have ants in your pants
to make you dance
from side to side, and all around
you would see her dance with all kinds of sound:
YIPPEE! YAHOO! WINGABEE! CALAZOO!
Now what if she ate some magical beans,
you know those magical Mexican jumping beans.
Why she would dance around and shout “OLE!”
and dance, and dance, and dance all day
from side to side, and all around,
she would dance and dance with all kinds of sound:
YIPPEE! YAHOO! WINGABEE! CALAZOO!
Oh but how could that be
that sounds so silly to me?

No, I will tell you what makes my Sabrina dance,
and it is not going out to play
or sitting in a big pile of dirt
not knowing it was full of ants
that would get in her pants, to make her dance.
Nor the magical Mexican jumping beans
that made her want to shout “OLE!”
and dance, and dance, and dance all day.

Why it is Music!
It is the rhythm, the notes, the sound.
Why she will twist her body and move up and down
to anything, I mean anything that has a sound.
The kind of sound like in a clock,
as it goes “Tick, tock, Tick, tock”.
Or birds when they flirt
And go “chirp, chirp, chirp”
Now do not forget the T.V. and radio,
and of course the piano.
Why it is the sound of music in your ear,
anything with a rhythm that you hear
and everything with a beat
that starts in your head, and goes to your feet.
So, now you know why at every chance
My little Sabrina loves to dance.

Drawing Sabrina
written by me, Carol Louise

Why little Sabrina she loves to draw
Anything she can see or maybe saw
Oh, you mean she loved to draw
What she could saw?
No, not a real saw
This saw is what you would see
Boy, I think you are silly.
Or do you mean that she
Draws when by the sea
No, not the water sea
But the eyes that see.
Maybe she just likes to draw
And it wouldn’t matter what she could see
                Or even what she saw
I can picture her now back in the west
Wearing cowboy boots, hat, and a cool looking vest
Standing in the middle of the street
Pouring sweat in the blistering heat
With two guns on her hip
And a quivering lip
A hat pulled down low
Getting ready to go
Then drawing in a breath of fresh air
While the crowd did draw near to stare
“Okay”, said Sabrina, “on the count of three.”
One, two, three... draw!
No, no, no! She likes to draw what she can see or maybe saw.
Oh, I get it. She likes to draw.
I can just picture her now with friends by her side
Trying to play a game and then to decide
Who will be the first to draw a card
Oh boy, this is going to be hard
“I will go first”, said her friend on the right
Sabrina then said, “Please don’t fight”
I have a solution to our problem, you see.
I’ll hand out these straws and then count to three
And the one with the longest straw
Can be the first one to draw
“Okay”, she says, “on the count of three.”
One, two, three... draw!
Hmm, let’s see; drawing straws, a card, and then a gun
I don’t know if we have the right drawing to be done
Don’t forget about drawing a breath of fresh air
Or the crowd that did draw near to stare
I wonder what other drawings to be done
I sure do think this is kind of fun
What kind of draw do you think Sabrina does?
I wonder if she draws just because
All I know is Sabrina loves to draw
Anything she could see or maybe saw
I wonder if it is like when you draw money from a bank
Maybe in my mind, I am just drawing a blank
How about drawing water for a bath
Or drawing lines to use in math
That’s it! It’s the lines you see
She draws lines for you and for me
These lines are drawn into pictures
Of things she saw or could even see
Why little Sabrina she loves to draw
Anything she could see or maybe saw

April 2015,
Sabrina went to the end of the year cheer leading awards meeting, where she got recognized for being such an outstanding cheerleader. She's such a good sport and sure does love being a cheer leader. John went with her and was recognized for being the Fruitland Grizzly Bear Mascot.

March 2015
The Fruitland Cheerleaders made it to State this year.
Here's a picture of Sabrina with a Boise State Cheerleader

Selfie by Sabrina, of course

Found these cute pictures of Sabrina and Sarah. Sabrina is also wearing one of the hats I crocheted, btw.

Sabrina still loves to pose and is just as adorable as ever.

These group of pictures were taken in our back yard.

Holloween Costumes

Yeah! I found the Raggedy Anne and Andy costumes I designed and made for Sabrina and John.
Aren't they just adorable?

Sabrina the unicorn. I did not make this costume.
 Our little bug Sabrina.

2006 Christmas poses from our sweet baby Sabrina. I sure love you, Sabrina Moore. You have such an amazing, outgoing, special, kind hearted, and sweet personality. You are a natural beauty, especially with your natural puffy red lips that I am so jealous over.

 Best friends with Rachel Hinatsu.

Big sister Stacey had graduated and was living with us at this time. Stacey took the time and curled Sabrina's hair for her first day of school
